Visit Tallahassee staff joined me on a test run last Friday morning. We had a full tour of seven Segways. Only one of the guests had EVER been on Segway before but after a few minutes in our indoor training area we were all ready hit the streets. Our first stop was just a few blocks down at the new FAMU extension near Van Buren and Adams Street which is approximately where the new Cascades pedestrian bridge will join in. We then made our way down the new wide sidewalk to Gaines Street and Railroad Avenue, and Doak Campbell Stadium. Continuing under the beautiful canopy of oaks on the Legacy Walk at FSU all the way to Westcott Hall. Explored some new sidewalks that led us back to Gaines Street and then back to the launch sight on South Monroe Street. Everyone really seemed to have a great time. Received lots of good feedback and suggestions. (So many good ideas!) Thanks to Lauren and all the great people at Visit Tallahassee!
